Cedar wood bear cubs

Mark took one of his cedar logs and chainsaw carved these adorable bear cubs. He ended up leaving them in a more rustic state because they looked so unique and adorable. These little fellows are affectionately called Gummy Bears. Mark left the cedar wood in its natural state so they smell wonderful in addition to being so cute. Life-size Silverback Gorilla wood sculpture

Mark's most impressive chainsaw wood sculpture this year is definitely the life-size Silverback Gorilla that he carved for Silverback Distillery in Afton, Viginia. The gorilla is made from 5 logs: head and neck, left arm, right arm, mid-section, and haunches and hind legs. The logs were notched, joined together and secured with long screws.
