Three New Bears from the Urban Art Show

  • April 8, 2012

You might not think to find bears at an urban art show, but that is exactly what happened. Thanks to being a part of a group of talented Lynchburg friends (thanks Skull Fly!), Sleepy Hollow Art made an appearance at the 1st Urban Art Show at Catalano’s. Three new bears, the bald eagle, the owl, and the whale all traveled to Main St. for the art show.

The New Bears: Kenneth, Lucinda and Marx

Lucinda

Carved out of reclaimed Southern Yellow Pine, Lucinda stands 2-1/2 ft. tall on a 3″ base. She is painted black with a satin finish and a natural nose and base. Her delicate features and angled eyes really stand out. Her right arm is raised, poised to hold a flag, carry a basket, or any variety of decoration. SOLD

Kenneth

Carved out of reclaimed Southern Yellow Pine, Kenneth (on the left) stands 3 ft. tall on a 4″ base. He is painted black with a satin finish and a natural nose and base. I love his innocent and honest expression and posture. $450

Marx

Carved out of reclaimed Southern Yellow Pine, Marx stands 3 ft. tall on a 4″ base. He is painted black with a satin finish and a natural nose and base. He is holding a tall, blank sign that can be customized in numerous ways whether he lives at your home or office. The sign can be carved permanently, or an area can be recessed to fit a frame or poster, for example, to make the sign interchangeable. $450
